FEB.1915 Seigo Kawai started manufacturing cotton insulated wire (called Tokyo Wire) at Shibata-cho, Kita-ku, Osaka as a one-man business named "Taiwu Densen".
FEB.1917 Company name changed to gKawai Densen Seizosho" (Kawai Electric Wire And Cable Manufacturing Co.).
FEB.1934 Company restructured as a limited liability company and Osamu Koike assumed the role of Company President.
MAR.1938 Osamu Koike requested by Korea Refining to establish Shi-Ko Densen near Kei-jo in Korea.
SEP.1940 License to produce electrical equipment obtained from the Ministry of Communication.
NOV.1946 Osamu Koike, as the first factory manager of Tatsuta Electric Wire & Cable, Co. Ltd., was invited to construct facilities for the company.
APR.1957 Main office and factory were moved to Komatsu Kita Dori, Higashi-yodogawa-ku, Osaka, and the production facilities were expanded.
MAY.1958 The product 'IV' was recommended by the Chubu Electric Power Co. Inc.
MAY.1959 The products 'VA' (VVF), 'IV' and 'SV' (VVR) were recommended by the Hokuriku Electric Power Co. Inc.
JUN.1959 The product 'VA' (VVF) was recommended by the Kansai Electric Power Co. Inc.
SEP.1959 The product 'F'(VVF) was recommended by the Tokyo Electric Power Co. Inc.
OCT.1960 The products 'IV' and 'VA' (VVF) were recommended by the Shikoku Electric Power Co. Inc.

DEC.1987 Company name changed to gKawai Densen" (Kawai Cable, Ltd.).Esaka office was opened."Kawai Densen Shoji" (Kawai Trading, Ltd.) was established.
NOV.1994 Fukuchiyama factory awarded a prize by the Director of the Kinki Regional Bureau of International Trade and Industry
DEC.1994 Fukuchiyama factory acquired certification from the JQA (Japan Quality Assurance Organization) that it's quality management system was applicable to ISO 9002.
DEC.1994 Fukuchiyama factory permitted by MITI to use the JIS marking on co-axial cable for TV sets.
APR.1998 Kyoto factory started operation.
MAR.2003 The quality management system of Fukuchiyama factory renewed to ISO9001(2000).
FEB.2005 Saitama warehouse opened.
JUN.2005 Kanagawa warehouse opened.
APR.2009 Saitama warehouse and Kanagawa warehouse closed.
